Michelle is a Registered Psychotherapist providing Psychotherapy and Counselling Services to children, youth, families, and individuals within the Ottawa area.Having immersed herself in the field of mental health since 2007, Michelle brings to this work a valuable collection of experience supporting families in trying life circumstances.

Specifically, Michelle has a strong appreciation for the stages of child and adolescent development; she understands that such a wonderfully care-free stage of life can be accompanied by feelings of insecurity and uncertainty. Most important to Michelle is the therapeutic relationship. Using a gentle, yet practical, strength-focused approach with her clients, Michelle supports families in learning to identify and access their personal strengths and inner resiliencies to propel them forward through life’s challenges. Michelle utilizes a variety of evidence-based practices within her work with children, youth, families, and individuals: including: Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Play Therapy, Family Systems Theory, and Attachment Theory.
